Neville finds this very upsetting and he decides he needs to use the pensieve that Bellatrix was forced to empty her memories into upon entrance into Azkaban. Neville get to it quickly and enters it to see his parents on their final "sane" day. He sees the fight they put up and the pain they went through. He comes out of the pensieve and realizes how much they went through and how brave they were. He appreciates them more now.
